EMOPROX

Emoprox (Eye Drops)
(Methylethylpiridinol)

 

COMPOSITION
1 ml of preparation contains:
Active substance: Methylethylpiridnol hydrochloride 10 mg.
Excipients: disodium hydrophosphate dodecahydrate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, HPMC, sodium benzoate, sodium benzoate anhydrous, purified water.

THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS
Adults:
- hemorrhage in anterior eye (treatment);
- scleral hemorrhage in elderly people (treatment and prophylaxis);
- cornea inflammation and burn (treatment and prophylaxis);
- myopia complications (treatment);
- defense of cornea (wearing contact lens);
- defense of retina from damaging action of the high intensity light (sunburn, laser burn, lazercoagulation).

CONTRAINDICATIONS
- known hypersensitivity to any of drug components;
- pregnancy.

ADVERSE EFFECTS
Burning, itching, short-term conjunctival hyperemia, rare local allergic reactions.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Only for topical application.
Preparation: Emoprox is applied into conjunctival sac of affected eye by 1-2 drops 2-3 times per day.
Treatment course is 3-30 days. If necessary the treatment course can be enlarged to 6 months. Can be repeated 2-3 times per year. One should avoid to contact of dropper with any surfaces. It helps to prevent microbial contamination of vial content.

DRUG INTERACTIONS
Emoprox is not compatible with the other preparations.

OVERDOSAGE
There are no datas about over dosage. It is necessary to wash eyes with water in case of occasional overdosage.

PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
Emoprox should not be applied during the pregnancy. Use with care during the lactation. Breast feeding should be discontinued during treatment course.

EFFECTS ON ABILITY TO DRIVE AND USE MACHINES
There is no information about the effect on ability to drive vehicles, operate complex mechanisms, machines and equipment requiring clarity of vision.

SPECIAL WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
In case of usage with the other ophthalmological medications Emoprox is applied on the last turn after whole absorption of the other drugs (not less then 10-15 minutes after).

MANUFACTURED FORM
Emoprox eye drops are produced in 5 ml plastic vial with dropping stopper and screw cap, supplied with guard ring. Vial in carton box with packaging leaflet.
